The steamer stopped working 3 different times! Breville replaced it every time without question. It can also be difficult to load and unload the shot dispenser at times. Otherwise this little bambino makes amazing coffee!!

This machine makes a beautiful cup of coffee, but I went through three of them in less than eighteen months. The first lasted almost a year, the other two less. Breville was prompt and helpful in taking them back, but I want coffee reliably provided.

I’d like to start by saying that Breville makes some excellent products. However, the Bambino Plus is not quite up to snuff. While its has a gorgeous, sleek design, I found it unsatisfactory. It’s too automated to produce quality foam or espresso shots.
Very basic results may be
Pleasing to inexperienced users but disappointing for a skilled barista. Various types of foam are produced by controlling the aeroation and depth of the steam wand, which are reduced to one or two presets on the Bambino, greatly limiting your options. I tried multiple times to make cappuccino foam but was unsuccessful. It does have a couple temperature options but that the most tweaking you get with the wand. Espresso shots should be rich, robust and lightly acidic, but not soured. This machine pulls shots with lower pressure and heat, and slightly over extracted which ruins the quality of the espresso. The compact design is wonderful but a little flimsy. When placing and removing the espresso head, the entire machine tilts and turns with it, so you have to hold it steady with one hand while you doing so. A few small suction cups under the machine would be an excellent addition to this model. I hope Breville will consider adding this feature.
Overall, if you’re an inexperienced user, you may love the fully automated features, and the quality it produces. If you are a seasoned barista, you’ll likely want to find a better machine.

I LOVE my Bambino Plus! I never drink regular coffee hardly anymore since getting this machine. You will be addicted. I liked how small and compact it was, and that you could still manually froth the milk if you wantes to. It does a great job.
