Treat the flatware right

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased the Alcea 18/10 flatware set to replace our Oneida set because that set would rust when put in the dishwasher. We were tired of hand washing all of our flatware. We purchased this set based on the quality and the elegant design. The flatware pieces are nicely balanced and feel good in hand. We followed the manufacturer's recommendations of using a citrus and chloride free dishwasher detergent. Finish dishwasher tabs are citrus and chloride free, so that's what we use. We also remove all food debris by rinsing the flatware after using. Also, we never soak the flatware, which is not necessary anyway if you rinse it immediately after use. So far no issues with rust. Hopefully this set will continue to perform for years to come.

Very nice high quality set

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just recently purchased these and I have positive first impressions. The flatware is heavy duty 18/10 and passed my bend test with flying colors. In cheaper quality products, the spoons are easy to bend with little effort. Not so with this set. The items are thick and heavy, but still look elegant. Just be mindful of cleaning them. They have specific things that need to be done while cleaning them to keep stains from forming.
