New favorite kitchen electrics

This is such a great tool to incorporate in saving my food and keeping it fresh! I have always been so bad about trying to keep leftovers and produce fresh, and they end up expiring or go bad. I have seen such a huge difference now in my food saving efforts with using this set. The vacuum pump is compact and really easy to store in my small kitchen. The containers and bags do such a great job keeping air out. I love the app and how it keeps track of what I’ve saved. It's nice to have a much better method of keeping track of my food and not waste it. This is something everyone needs to get and incorporate in their daily food prep and saving.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Waste Not!

I always cook for too many or buy to much fresh produce and before I owned this system I was wasting food not to mention plastic bags.
Being able to keep food longer in reusable containers has been fantastic. The app is a great partner letting me know when something will expire and/or how long it will last.
I have never liked the smell of hard boiled eggs in my frig yet my family loves to have them available for quick meals. Now I can peel the eggs and put them in a small glass container, seal it and no smell! The eggs also last much longer due to the sealing process.
There are so many great ways to use this system not only for food but for wine as well.
More storage bags and containers are now available online.

Fantastic means of storing and organizing food. Impressive how much longer food remains fresh compared to more traditional storage methods. Bags are great for food prep and saving contents of opened packages. Glass containers can be placed in microwave or oven. Additional containers and bags available online.

Fresh & Save Vacuum Starter

There is do doubt that my encounter with this prod has improved the quality of my food preservation.
I choose foods that are as fresh and additive-free as possible to stay healthy. You know fresh additive-free foods do not last long and must eaten quickly.
Now I live in the United States, but for me, born and raised in Japan, I rarely stock up o food for a week or two.
Since I started using this vacuum stater, I haven’t wasted food.
Zwilling’s vacuum pumps, which keep organic corn tortillas, avocados, fish, vegetables and all kind of fresh foods have become a must-have at home.
Also, my husband and daughter enjoy pumping.

I am still getting used to it and determining types of food with which it works best. I have better luck with the glass containers, and would appreciate more size varieties with that. Also trying to figure out best way to cleanse the bags, especially to remove odors. SInce I am still on a learning curve, it is adding more steps to my every day chores instead of reducing them.

Works great with some minor inconveniences

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The vacuum sealer itself works great with the provided ziplock bags and the containers. Just need to place it on top of the seal and press a button. The glass containers are fairly thick and the lid is airtight after completing the seal. Will need to see long term how it holds out repeated washes in dishwasher. It’s also great I can use the vacuum sealer in a variety of different containers and bags. Great for storing cut vegetables and fresh mozzarella cheese so that I can make sandwiches regularly for lunch.
Some minor inconveniences:
- The charger for the vacuum sealer is USB-A to micro USB. I had hoped it was USB-C to save myself another cable and charger adapter.
- Slider for the zip lock bags is a separate attachment common for all bags. It’d have been better if it was attached to each bag.

Broke the second time I used it!

I could not remotely believe it. I was sealing the large glass container and the lid broke! I had been extremely careful then I heard cracking and that was it. I'm such a huge fan of this brand; it just seems like their other products last longer

Dream set - while it lasted

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been loving the entire glass vaccum starter set. It definitely keeps your produce and left overs fresher longer. But be careful after roughly 3- 4 days your strawberries remain firm but start having a fermenting taste. I honestly prefer the containers to the plastic bags mainly because the bags are a hustle to clean and reuse. Unfortunately my love affair with this set came to a screeching halt after the vacuum sucked the marinade from the bag and now it inoperable. Only reason I’m not recommending it is the realization that once the vacuum breaks down all the containers and bags are useless.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
