I'm a diehard Mustang fan and I have driven Mustang's from several decades and I love the look of the late 60's and early 70's. When I first saw this I immediately bought it and I'm glad I did it is very easy to put together and looks fantastic. It Also has several customizable features and as a VIP member I received a neat keychain and bumper sticker. I would recommend this to everyone. Lego really have outdone themselves.

once i found out they were making it i knew i had to have it. this set is amazing, the color is excellent, some interesting techniques and great features. if you love cars or lego, or both, u need this set.

It’s all in the details

What a fun set to build! The details are amazing, from the engine block to the interior. Then also, offering mods for the build too, like the supercharger/blower for the engine, and the front and rear spoiler... After it’s all put together it just looks great too.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not a muscle car fan, BUT...

I was never a fan of Ford Mustang let alone muscle cars in general, BUT it is such an iconic car and it's a great looking model I couldn't help myself.
I love all the extra accessories you can customize the car with. It looks great with or without them. Maybe we'll see more LEGO cars with customizeable add-ons (like a Nissan GT-R or a Toyta Supra). That's wishful thinking.

My only complaint is most of the printed striped pieces on the door are factory applied crooked so it makes it look sloppy. That's why I gave this set a 4/5 stars (Not because I don't care for muscle cars). Other than that, it's a great set to own and display

Best Creator set ever

I have not purchased a LEGO set in more than 10 years. I’m a MOC builder, but this was a must-buy! It was finally a set I could relate to. It’s aimed at a higher age and at the classic American car fan. Mike Psiaki and his team have really outdone themselves. I love the new elements, especially the wheels! And love the features. Personally I would like to see more sets like these as I am a car fan! The F40 was another amazing one and I didn’t think it would be topped. This car takes the checkered flag in my book. Build was challenging, but not too hard. My wife who has very little experience with LEGO took the wheel on this one (she loves Mustangs!) and she really enjoyed it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great build!

One thing they don’t feature well if you ask me is the way the rear suspension is adjustable! You twist a brick on the bottom towards the rear of the car and it slowly raises and lowers the rear end. Very cool feature on a muscle car kit! Manual has random mustang facts in it as you build. Amazing value with lots of great Lego touches.

Excellent but a few difficulties!

This set has an outstanding end product and experience for the most part, but the instructions can be very confusing. I found myself freaking out where a piece went or if I messed up a placement for several minutes and often. The instructions can be cluttered near the end when it comes to telling apart pieces in the instructions. Also the windshields had some deep scratches for me because of other pieces in the bag. Despite these issues it is an amazing build. It has outstanding colors and some great printed pieces! Lots of features and perfect for display. This is the biggest lego purchase I've made in awhile but as soon as it was announced I knew I'd buy it the day it came out. I recommend this if you're a fan of cars or just want a challenge with a great looking build.

Best Lego car set I've ever owned

Always been a huge car enthusiast, muscle cars especially. Stumbled across this Mustang on YouTube by watching Lego's Designer video.
Purchased the first night it was available. As someone who works on old Mustang's as a hobby, I truly appreciate Lego's push to have a lifelike steering system. However, as many have noted in other reviews, not thrilled over the rear suspension lift ability without having bigger tires to fill the wheel gap, make's it look too much like an off-road truck.
Nevertheless, absolutely love the Mustang!
(The rear view mirror was an exceptionally nice detail!)
