Disappointing build

I was excited about this set, but the build for this mustang was a bit of a disappointment, especially after having built the Camero set the week prior. There were unnecessarily complex sections with a lot of small pieces, and there were missing pieces I had to substitute when building the front seats.
I chose not to do the engine/hood, suspension, and trunk modifications. Because I chose not to make these optional modifications, the trunk and suspension look incomplete and do not function properly.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Missing parts are rare, but no need to replace them with your own parts. You can order missing parts for this iconic car at LEGO.build/BricksPieces-BV.

Good kit with some issues

Putting the Mustang together went well. There were a few parts that tended to fall off so I glued them on. The problems I had were with missing pieces. One part that I could place at the end was missing. But then there were a couple of other pieces missing and I had to stop because they were crucial to the build. Unfortunately, I have to wait a week to 10 days because parts are shipped from Denmark. It would be nice if they had a warehouse in the U.S. I called and there is no way to expedite shipping. This is my second kit in a row that was missing pieces.

My dream car

Always wanted this car as a teenager. Now I have it. This was a really fun build with a few challenges along the way since it was hard to tell a couple of the pieces from the pictures. However, didn't take too long to figure out. The front bucket seats had the wrong stripes down the middle, but LEGO replaced the pieces. The only criticism I have is the striping down the side and the door. They are not really that straight so you can see a little bit of waviness in them, but not bad. I like the door fit, the movable steering, and popping the hood open to see the engine. Nice addition to my collection.

Power Mustang build

First off, mustang is not my dream car. But this LEGO Mustang is super cool and another great build by Team LEGO. I’m amazed that it took me so long to get into building LEGO sets. Every build has its unique features and all amaze me at my age.This Mustang is beautiful and it really nails Fords designs but in a LEGO way. Which I will say is spot on. The LEGO team has car builds splat on. The detail and the strength of the builds is impressive. Every build I’ve completed has great structure and they all hold together very good. This Mustang is impressive and I give a 9 out of 10. What a beautiful build

I LOVE IT!

As a builder that rarely purchases LEGO sets, I really like to get my moneys worth when I do. This set fit that expectation perfectly! I love the amount of detail put throughout out the car, especially the engine. There wasn’t a spot overlooked. The amount of features and details in the Mustang compared to others similarly priced cars is very evident. Overall I love the set, the build experience is equally as great, and I highly recommend this set, especially if your into cars.
