This is a total must have for any Lego car collector, an absolute fantastic build. The fact you can have it in two versions, makes it even more impressive.
It goes amazingly well with the rest of the car, camper and bus collection.
The only disappointment was that a couple of the stickers were bent and didn't come off the backing properly.
Overall though a fantastic set

Great Build and Great Look!

This was a great build. It wasn't repetitious as some builds can be. The steering and rear lift are very cleverly done and was fun to watch evolve over the build. The inclusion of extra customization is awesome and really change the look/feel of the car.
I labelled it as challenging because there are a couple of spots early on that require a bit of dexterity. Younger builders might need help...or maybe I'm just getting old! :)
I did have similar issues that others have pointed out. I had some marks on the windscreens and the stripe prints weren't exactly lined up from piece to piece, but neither are deal breaking as the model still looks great. The imperfections are only really noticeable upon close examination.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Nice Build

Nice looking car. My one complaint would be using the same piece for both the front windshield and the rear window window. The original car (I owned a real one) the two are quite a bit different in length. Also the add on real spoiler doesn't really blend with the car well and looks out of place. I just left it off. The door system is nice and the working steering is a good feature.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This kit has three things going for it:

All kidding aside, this kit was fun to build, the instructions were well done, and the craftsmanship is top shelf. I thoroughly enjoyed putting this together.

Giant automotive geek here, so this set was just super exciting to assemble. When it’s done it doesn’t look like a toy at all. It actually looks like a lot better than I could have images when you finally have it completed. I display it in my home with pride. Great job Lego. Hope more sets like these on the drawing boards.

Phenomenal Mustang except rear spoiler

Ok, I’m at a 4.3 on this. It was my 1st build since I was a child. I saw this mustang and had to have it. I was amazed by the leaps Lego has made. The mechanics and functionality are top notch. I would have rated 5 stars but at the end of the build I was looking forward to attaching the rear spoiler. The front of the spoiler is absolutely amazing except for not continuing the stripe. But that doesn’t bother me too bad. Now comes the one thing that is bad. The back side of the spoiler is terrible. All you see is the bottom of Lego parts and 2 buttons. I can’t believe they went out of the way to make the whole car so great and not manufacture smooth back pieces for the back side of the spoiler. It looks absolutely terrible, like I forgot to finish it or I lost some pieces. I am highly disappointed in this. Minor things that annoy me are the center pegs for the front wheels Are brown. The back ones are dark gray. My mind is boggled how so much attention to detail was made on this car and they produced those in different colors. I’m going to make decal center caps to cover the pegs. My Other Minor complaints are pretty much more aesthetics. The bottom of interior carpet area should be tan, not gray, and the back seat bottom should have been two tone tuck & roll dark tan & light tan style like front seats. The steering should be tan as well. The front blinker lights should be transparent orange or clear optional, not just clear. Luckily I have some transparent orange circles from another kit. I left the rectangle side mirrors off so they would be round like old mustangs. I guess I am comparing it to the original classic mustang I used to own. I have ideas to make this the way I want it, and hope I can order the parts to make that happen, but I don’t think there’s anything I can do about the spoiler back except take it off and toss it in my extra parts bag, and that sucks because the spoiler is super critical to the mean aggressive optional look. By the way, I do love all the extras, it’s nice to be able to change the way the car looks!!! I had a couple of missing & wrong parts. Nothing major. Will contact customer service and I’m sure they’ll fix it. Overall I’d purchase if I were you, just don’t expect an awesome finished looking rear spoiler.

I’m a big car guy when it comes to classics, this model takes the cake when it comes to classics and lego combine. Best model by far and I would recommend anyone to get it if you’re like me, this model was not as hard as it seems. Big model as well worth every penny, best purchase I made on this model.
