Epic build!

This was my first USC style set, and its a very good one to start with! Fun build with great figs and I love looking at it on my shelf and sometimes playing with all the features and looking at the little details. If I could have one thing I would have it split into the Batmissile from Batman Returns but I see how that could bring up the price quite a bit

Amazing set

The build has been amazing and just about to finish it up. The level of detail has been superb and challenging enough to make stretch out the build time for it. My only complaint about the set and wish I could give it 4.5 stars are at this price point and level of detail printed bricks would have been so much better than stickers but with enough patience and using some tweezers they can be put on straight and look okay.

A top 5 building experience

This set is one of the most entertaining, fun, and eye catching sets LEGO has ever released. Sometimes, with larger LEGO sets, you can spend a lot of money, and invest a lot of time, only to find the build to be less than entertaining; sometimes downright boring and repetitive. Not so with this set. The 1989 Batmobile set is worth every dollar just for the sheer joy and relaxation of building it, let alone the beautiful display model you get when you are finished. You could build this set over a weekend if you really wanted to, but I found it more fun to take my time with it, and just build a bag or two when I had some free time. If you are an adult who loves LEGO, this is a must-buy!

really great model

Real nice build, I appreciated the bagging how there was no more than 3 piles per bag. When complete the lines and details work really well together. There are some interesting building techniques to get the right body lines throughout. There are 2 problems that I found with the build which aren't anything major, the first is I was missing one piece that keeps the machine gun barrels strong however I used a shorter spare piece from another bag for the same result. The second is the display base is really flat and hard to display the plaque as well as easily drop the car onto.
There is one change that I would make to the build and it would be adding x4 of piece 36840 so the machine gun covers stay on top of the machine guns and don't just pop off. her than that I liked the bright pieces throughout representing the colors for Batman's enemies, Joker, the penguin, Mr. Freeze, and the scarecrow.

Holy Smoke Batman!!

I have built several sets recently (4x4 x-treme off-roader, Harley Fat Boy, Bugatti Chiron) with my grandson and this 1989 Batmobile was by far the most fun. It was challenging and was amazed at the engineering that went into the design. The instructions are straight forward and really liked that there are 26 individual bags of a few hundred pieces or so each which is much more manageable when you are building over a few days. It's a large model and mostly a display piece. The mechanism design of the pop guns was ingenious. Its definitely worth the $250 price tag. You won't be dissapointed!

I really enjoyed this set. It was definitely one of my favorites. Working with this 89 batmobile and characters brought me back to when I was a kid. The end result is was a really cool piece to display. Would highly recommend for any DC fan.

A Great Build, But Pace Yourself.

This is the biggest Lego set I've ever built. It's probably the best of what I currently have. Not only is it challenging, but the 1989 Batmobile looks great when put together. However, I did have some difficulty, notably around the cockpit. I'd only recommend this set if you've put together more advanced ones.
