Lego never disappoints!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been a Batman fan for a very long time and so I was excited to put together this Lego replica of the 1989 Batmobile. While it was a bit challenging at times it was such a stress reliever for me after work. Since I finished it I've really enjoyed having it as a conversation piece with my other collectibles.

I immediately had to have this set. It's one of my favorite movies, and best memories as a kid. The part count alone made it intriguing. While I felt it was pricey, compared to some other sets with much lower part counts, I felt like this was well worth the nostalgia. I'm not even through bag 5 yet, and couldn't wait to write a review because this is so much fun. I'm also not the type to sit down and power through something like this. I really enjoy taking my time and appreciating the level of planning that goes into some of these creations. It really is amazing, and has taught me a lot about making my own builds. When it's finished it will sit next to the Tumbler in my office. Which, happens to now be my second favorite build I've completed.

Best Lego Batmobile Yet!

This was a really fun build. The attention to detail by the designers blew my mind. This thing is impressive. I’d love to see a 66 Batmobile at this scale. Great job LEGO!

I bought this for my son for Christmas. Once he built it, I knew I had to buy one for me. For a novice builder like myself, it was a tad challenging until I figured out certain things. I worked on it for about 2 hours a day, roughly 2-3 bags per day. I had a blast building it, but realized that Lego building wasn't something I had much patience for, HAHAHA.
Overall, I highly recommend it, and hey... it's the 1989 Batmobile, so it's a no-lose situation. Thank you, Lego.

Awesome, except the stand

Everything is awesome about this set, except the stand. Who has a large area enough to spin a set like this around? A stand more along the lines of the UCS Star Wars stands, but low profile would have more preferable. It would have allowed for an angled display on a shelf, where I suspect most people will display it, and would show off more than just the side. I got so frustrated, I went ahead and built my own from build-a-brick since LEGO dropped the ball on that part of the build.

Different shade cab top

This is a great lego set but I was disappointed to see that the large square lego piece on the roof of the cab of the Batmobile is a slightly different color and texture then the black pieces around it making it all just look kind of off.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The second I saw this in coming soon I knew it was the set for me. Bought it the day of release and never looked back. Was a super fun build and you can't fully appreciate the size of it until you see it in front of you. Great deal! Thank you Lego for releasing a set I have wished for since 1989!

I like this Batmobile in LEGO form better than the real version.
The Build(s): I don't know where to start. Gargoyle Minfigure Stand / For what it is it's very good. Straight out of Gotham City. The only complaint I have about it is that it's not very stable. The Dais / It's a little difficult to position the Batmobile on it, but other than that I really like the look. The Batmobile / This thing is crazy. It's huge for one thing. The build techniques were like nothing I'd ever seen before, honestly. I love the fin builds, the vent hatch-thing on the back, machine guns, turbine on the bumper, everything. They did an amazing job on making this in LEGO form. It's extremely well-done.
The Minifigures: Vicki Vale / She's pretty good. Her printing is well done. But she isn't a very astounding character in the movie anyway, so, eh. The Joker / He is awesome! His face is an excellent representation of Jack Nicolson. I do wish though that, w/ the price, we got an alternate peice that was his hair. I also would have like the long pistol he has in the end of the film, and side leg printing. But, overall, he's awesome. Batman / I love this guy! His cape and cowl mold are awesome. It looks like it's wind blown. I wish, however, that we got an exclusive face.
Final Verdict: You should get this set if you love Batman. It does take up a lot of space though. This is awesome, but we need more X-Men sets!
