Great set for a beginning adult builder

My daughter and husband usually build Lego sets while I clean. But when I saw this set I just had to have it and try building it myself. I love everything nautical themed so it kind of spoke to me. We spent a rainy Good Friday building Lego sets. They built the Lego Old Fishing Store set while I worked on the Ship in a Bottle set. It only took me about 2 hours to build and I'm a novice. This set may have just sparked a new hobby for me as well. Thanks Lego!!!

Great set with a problem

This was a fun build, not too challenging. The main problem with this set is all of the clear pieces. I knew that as with other sets that the clear pieces would have some scratches but they are very noticeable because of how big the clear parts are. I wish that the clear parts for all sets would have better packaging.
I am glad that LEGO printed the parts for this kit as compared to other kits that have decals. Especially for this price (Why can't the more expensive kits have printed parts instead of decals?).

This is a great build and display piece; perfect for fans of the Lego Ideas, ship fans, or those who enjoy bottles. I am getting back into LEGO as an adult and this was the perfect set; I loved ships in a bottle as a kid and building them with my dad. It’s challenging especially the base of the bottle. The finished product exceeds expectations and will be a great display and conversation piece at my desk. Can’t wait for my next Ideas purchase.

Great For A Display

This set is perfect for a display in a bar, library, or bookshelf. It is a conversation starter. It is super creative, yet one of the more "professional" looking LEGO sets I have built to date. Great job!

Ship in a bottle

Bought this for my husband for Valentine's Day...he said it was a really fun build, and I actually think it is a really cool design. the compass, the globes, the bottle stopper...the details are great basically. Would have ordered 2 but said limit one...great job designer. ^_^

Love it!!! It was a great idea its original and unique its easy to build and its not easy to find in atores so it makes even special it has special bricks that I didnt see in an other legos

This is truly the nicest looking set of any I own, beautiful!
It is worthy of being placed on the mantle.
This set more than most others would fit any decor, not just "nerd chic".
It really doesn't look toy-like, like many sets do.

This is easily the most fun and challenging build I've done. Many different building techniques. A very satisfying build.
Do yourself a favor and pick one up while they're out, you won't regret it.

I have always wanted a ship in a bottle but I move alot for work so I was afraid it would break in the moves.
But now we have a Lego version that will survive moves!!
