great pitcher. difficult to clean
on January 5, 2024

the lid where you add water is incredibly difficult to clean. there's not a way to open it and scrub it so there's a ton of water build up in there. there's no way just leaving it in vinegar would clean it either.
the section that the water sits before going through the filter is also a little bit difficult to clean. There are some corners down the length of the filter basin and it's really difficult to clean with just a sponge, you would need to get a brush small enough to fit all the way down the basin to get into the corners

This makes your water taste fantastic! No hint of tap water, no off taste, no chlorine taste or smell! I use this for everything! Drinking water for my family, my dogs, even my plants look better!

Form and Function, Delicious Water
on January 7, 2024

Cannot express strongly enough how deliciously clean my water tastes from my Lifewater pitcher! The initial filtration time (first to discard, and then about 5 more reservoir fills) was quite long, so be prepared for that. The reservoir holds just shy of 1L or 3ish cups; it takes about 3.5 reservoir fills to reach pitcher capacity. This is not atypical for mid-capacity home filter pitchers. The water quality is undeniable, and I especially like how lovely the pitcher looks on my kitchen counter.

I purchased a Lifestraw pitcher
on January 9, 2024

I purchased a Lifestraw pitcher last summer and have since bought another pitcher and a dispenser as gifts for relatives. I am very pleased with the water quality from your filter system. My only complaint is that the first pitcher I bought has a slow leak at one of the seams, so I will need to replace it. I ordered a silicone base for the second pitcher in the hope that it would prevent is similar problem.

Great tasting water!
on January 10, 2024

I have nasty well water, and even with the 3 filters and water softener used in my whole house filter system , I still won't drink it, use the water in my coffee maker or to cook with. This pitcher filters out what my whole house system seems to miss. The water tastes great. My only complaint is how slow it is. I can drink the water way faster than it can filter.

This was a replacement for our 2year old pitcher that had cracks at the bottom. We love the life straw and have recommended to friends/family.
Great tasting water and so happy to filter out microplastics.

2 10-cup Pitchers with Cracks!
on January 16, 2024
Posted by: XJ8W
We have 2 10-cup pitchers in the original plastic material that have developed multiple vertical cracks on the base of the unit My son brought his back from college and we promptly ordered the plastic replacement thinking it was due to rough usage. However, when I took a close look at the one we use at home, I noticed the same vertical cracks at the base. The home pitcher is actively leaking water onto the towel we usually place the pitcher on. The towel was originally placed to add stability. The home pitcher never had been slammed or bumped. Not quite sure how these cracks have developed. This is very upsetting as we had gone through 2 home stations that leaked at the sprout opening. The 10-cup pitcher was the alternative to the home station. Now they are leaking as well.
My son now has the replacement plastic pitcher at his dorm; we shall see how long before this one develops cracks. I am contemplating switching to another filtration system at home even though I love the design and functionality of LifeStraw.
