Pretty but annoying.

The visual design is awesome. The fact that it filter SO much from my water is awesome.
Everything else is bad. The design is bottom heavy not balanced with the handle being high, so tipping it to pour water is cumbersome and strain full.
The spout that water comes out from is so tiny. Filling my 40oz water bottle takes sooo much longer compared to my old Brita pitcher.
The tank for water to be filtered from is also too small. One fill only fills the pitcher about a fourth of the way. Again with my brita the tank would fill half the pitcher.
The look is amazing. I really feel that that’s was priority for the design team and then the functional engineering portion fell very very far down the list.

Although I was disappointed because

Although I was disappointed because I thought it was glass not plastic when I ordered it, I decided to keep it and try it out after reading it was BPA free. After using it for a week I can definitely tell a difference between this filter and my old one, the water tastes cleaner. I didn’t realize my old filter wasn’t cleaning my water completely but in comparison I can now tell a difference, the lifestraw one is definitely better quality. The filter works well and the pitcher is quick to refill. Overall I think the lifestraw pitcher was worth the extra money I spent on it in comparing it to my old Brita filter pitcher.

I noticed a difference right

I noticed a difference right away in the taste of my water after using the pitcher...amazing! This truly is the best filtered water I've ever had.
I did have a lot of trouble installing the filter and was instructed to use a knife to remove the bottom plastic piece. I did slightly damage the casing. Hopefully going forward it will be easier to change the filters!

My fault
on June 8, 2022

I just wanted to write a quick review on my filter. I purchased this filter about 2 months ago. I cannot drink bottled water for some reason, it just doesn't sit well with me. So I decided to buy a filter staition for the house and just fill up my personal water bottles. I'm good to drink 2 glasses of water before I even have my 1st cup of coffee. Followed by multiple throughout the day. This this water filter has been more than sufficient for me and my family. It's also a charming addition to my counter counter, not much of an eye sore. lol
My son sent it crashing to the floor, which you can see in the photo. I will be going today to grab another one. I liked it that much!!!

Buy the Silicone Base or You'll be Sorry!

This pitcher has a nice elegant design and is super easy to refill. And we love lifestraws mission. However, our plastic pitcher developed multiple cracks around the base within 3 months of use and water started leaking out - something that never happened with the Brita pitcher we had for the last 10 years. Lifestraw should include the base with the pitcher and raise their prices accordingly.
