Great taste but product leaks

Not happy with the product life. I have the 10cup filter pitcher and after 3 months of use, the product leaks at the seam where the base is attached to the body. I really like the style of the pitcher and the water tastes so much better than the other leading filter pictures. However, I do think a pitcher should last longer than the two filters that came with the pitcher.

Should be made of glass

I was shocked to discover that a pitcher designed to filter plastics and chemical particles was… itself made of plastic…. Look, it does the job of filtering, so it’s better than nothing, but let’s be serious, it should be made of glass. They say it’s BPA free, but we all know that “BPA free” doesn’t mean “free of harmful plastic leaching.” Again, better than nothing, but it’s by no means the holy grail of water filters.

I have been nothing but happy with my selection of the 7cup pitcher. I was wary while it was shipping because I read a few reviews talking about how slow it fills, but after set up and the first few initial rounds of water to get the filters going (and there’s a warning the first couple take a little longer to filter) it fills smoothly! The design is classy and cute and I’ve already had friends asking where I got it. Im excited to be able to stop buying water and finally have found a filter system that makes my tap water drinkable.

Filtered water taste so mch better! And with the mounting evidence of nano-plastics in humans, this is an excellent risks mitigation and prevention. Great product.

Before you buy, make sure

Before you buy, make sure you know that this is no longer the really nice glass pitcher but a cheaper plastic one. While the surprise was my fault for assuming consistent quality design products, it truly was disappointing to see Life Straw, and by virtue of my own oversight, adding to the plastic waste problem instead of continuing to make more environmentally sound choices.
It works, does its job, but, well, more plastic in my body and more plastic for Mother Earth.
