Back to Lifestraw
on June 23, 2025
Posted by: Carolyn C.
I've returned to Lifestraw after hoping that a filter fix on the fridge would improve the mineral/chlorine taste in our hardwater. The Lifestraw filter is WAAAAY better than fridge water. I'm glad I'm back, although I didn't go back to the subscription but ordered a complete set: membrane and carbon.
I do find the website jumps around a bit and was tricky to find what I actually needed. The filters need to be shown in seperate windows.
Do Love the Product.

I’m frustrated because my product is leaking. 35 C counter container I exchanged the first one because it leaked and now the second one does as well. I have to keep a bowl under it.

I bought this system mainly for my infant Grandsons food preparation because i was concerned about the water quality in my Son &Daughter in laws water quality in their town and 70's mobile home they live in I couldn't be more happier. I bought life straws for my sons cars a couple of years ago in case of emergency situation ever came about. We live on the cascadian subduction zone and it is prudent to keep an emergency pack in the car at all time and life straw fits right in!

Major design flaws.
on June 29, 2025

The pitcher design has several bad designs: 1. The water dispenser drips, and has lots of water residue. It collect dust. And it collects hard water residue as it dries out, leaving behind yellow-ish pile. 2. The water dispenser button is nasty. Your fingertip’s contact is too close to the water exit, and bacteria on your finger will absolutely transfer to the button and spread to water. You are required to wash hands before using it, which is not convenient. 3. The top opening. It leaks water if you fill the filter a little full. 4. The material of the filter is plastic. We know that bottle water leeches micro and nano plastic. Storing water in this filter is no different from getting bottle water. It’s counter productive to filter out microplastic and then release more into it overtime.
The whole thing is just sad.

The quality and taste of water that is produced by this water filter Is amazing. The decanter holds a large quantity of water. The only negative is the refill time is a little lengthy, but worth it.

Tall & Good Looking

Really like the pitcher. Love that it is glass. While it’s too tall for our fridge, it looks good on the counter. When it’s full, I feel like the handle might not be strong enough so I brace the base when lifting.
