Makes a huge difference to taste but slow

I love our pitcher so much. It makes a big difference in taste, so I know it's working. That said, it is very slow. It's become part of my job to fill it whenever I'm in the kitchen so that there's enough water when the kids want some. I still would highly recommend, but know that going in.

Great taste but product leaks

Not happy with the product life. I have the 10cup filter pitcher and after 3 months of use, the product leaks at the seam where the base is attached to the body. I really like the style of the pitcher and the water tastes so much better than the other leading filter pictures. However, I do think a pitcher should last longer than the two filters that came with the pitcher.

Should be made of glass

I was shocked to discover that a pitcher designed to filter plastics and chemical particles was… itself made of plastic…. Look, it does the job of filtering, so it’s better than nothing, but let’s be serious, it should be made of glass. They say it’s BPA free, but we all know that “BPA free” doesn’t mean “free of harmful plastic leaching.” Again, better than nothing, but it’s by no means the holy grail of water filters.

Replacement filters

The LifeStraw replacement water filter is easy to install and with a regular subscription ships with no additional shipping fee.
I wish LifeStraw would provide a recycling program to return the filters (such as Nespresso does with their used espresso capsules in a prepaid shipping bag.).

I don’t think it enhanced the taste of my tap water. It doesn’t taste like purified water it’s just ok and I’m somewhat dissatisfied because I purchased it to make my drinking water taste better and stop buying bottled water.

I have been nothing but happy with my selection of the 7cup pitcher. I was wary while it was shipping because I read a few reviews talking about how slow it fills, but after set up and the first few initial rounds of water to get the filters going (and there’s a warning the first couple take a little longer to filter) it fills smoothly! The design is classy and cute and I’ve already had friends asking where I got it. Im excited to be able to stop buying water and finally have found a filter system that makes my tap water drinkable.
