Three months later and it's doing wonderfully

We're so happy with the pitcher: the design is elegant enough to leave on the table with guests, while robust enough to handle everyday wear and tear. We got the plastic pitcher version and haven't had any issues with scratches or wear. The water tastes lovely out of it (how did we even drink city water before?). And I love the Lifestraw give back program aspect too.

I'm not interested in plastic, so it was nice to see the home filter comes in a glass carafe. Looks beautiful and the water tastes great.

We've had this pitcher for three months now, and it has been great. It sits on the counter near the sink so is easy to refill after getting a glass of water or filling up the kettle to boil water. The filtering makes the water taste better, and it puts my mind at ease about contaminants. We stayed in a different city a few weeks ago where the water tasted odd, and this is portable enough to bring along on the next car trip for better water. Got the glass pitcher and recommend the rubber base for it as well.
I spent weeks searching for a decent filter with a glass housing and was amazed at what a stranglehold the plastic industry has on the world of water filters. Apparently Brita released one once, but it's not available anymore, and some other company made one, but you can literally only buy it in Europe. It's quite bizarre. There's also the Soma, but by the sound of it, it's not a very good product. Then suddenly I stumbled upon the LifeStraw Home, a fairly new product, as it was still a Kickstarter in 2018. The product delivers clean, crisp water in a glass container, and my purchase contributes to a great environmental and humanitarian cause to boot. Glad I was patient in my search and found the LifeStraw Home.

Always refilling

I have always loved the LifeStraw technology and as far as water goes - I'm really happy. Great taste, very clean. But I don't love the design on this pitcher. The filter area doesn't hold a lot of water, so I have to fill it, wait for the water to filter, and repeat about 4 times before I would call the pitcher "full". And it's not a huge pitcher and I drink a lot of water so a full pitcher doesn't last very long. I feel like I'm constantly refilling it - which wouldn't be bad if the refilling process wasn't so cumbersome. I'm sad to write a 3-star review but honestly this product is just not working for me. Despite wanting to love it, it's a pretty big hassle as far as water filtration goes.
We have been using our LifeStraw Home pitcher for several weeks now, and I enjoy using it so much more than our old Pur pitcher. The filter lid flips open and closes depending on the flow of water coming in, so I don't have to ever remove the lid for filling. The pitcher is a nice size and is easy to handle and pour. For our family of five, we probably should have a larger sizes pitcher, but we try to refill after most uses, so this size has worked fine for us. I only give the four stars because I can't find any independent lab testing on this pitcher, and because it doesn't remove as many chemicals in the water as other filters on the market.

The glass broke

I went to get water and the bottom touched another bottle with a light tap and water went every where. There was a little hole on the bottom of the container. I could not believe that is all it took for it to break. I had the bottle for a month. It’s not strong enough to be something used often. But I enjoyed the clean water while it lasted, I’m glad I didn’t buy a bunch of filters.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought two, one for my parents and one for myself. The primary reason I bought this is because it removes micro plastics from our water. I would rate this higher, but it does not remove Flouride from water. So now, I use a Berkey to remove the flouride and then filter that water to remove the micro plastics. This results in some pretty expensive water, but it is the only way I have figured out how to do it.
