Flawed Design

I love the look of the pitcher, but think it has a design flaw. The flip cover can close too easily if the stream of water from the faucet is not aimed just right. This allows the water to enter the pitcher through the pouring spout contaminating the entire pitcher. I have a chronic lung disease which requires either boiling water for 10 minutes or using a filter that can filter Micobacterium Avium. When this happens I must then use a very strong chemical to disinfect the carafe and filter case.

Great but expensive

I like the glass carafe and the filter works fine and relieves my concerns about water-borne contaminants. I do find the replacement filters rather expensive.

I really like this pitcher, BUT...

I purchased the larger size and it is really too big and heavy when filled.
A. It is so tall that I had to adjust the shelf in the fridge
B. It is so HEAVY that I only fill it 1/3 of the way. Kinda wasteful since I now know I should have purchased the smaller one which is much more practical.

Amazing product. It is amazing how many contaminants this removes from your water. I am able to get my water intake and I use it for my coffee and cooking.

Love my LifeStraw Home!!!! I love the design and the water tastes great but mostly I love that you can pour from it after just filling it and the water that is not yet filtered doesn’t come through with the filtered water.

I drink water all day

I drink water all day while at work, tap water out of the refrigerator was the only filtered water available. It was hard to drink my daily intake since the water tasted so bad.. I get compliments on my new pitcher, and the water tastes amazing. No problems getting my daily intake now, I am going to buy one for my house too.
