Hello Lifestraw,
I was excited to buy and use your product since I had been searching high and low for a really exceptional water filter pitcher and based on reviews and claims I thought I found it. . However, I sadly feel scammed. Is anyone experiencing this? The water doesn't taste as pure and clean as I thought it would be. I am an only water drinker so I am sensitive to water purity. In addition, when I boil the filtered water in a my glass kettle for tea it leaves a grainy white residue film on the bottom and sides of the kettle. It seems like its not filtering the tap water. I haven't even used the filter straw because I was hoping of returning everything. So bummed.

I've had the life straw filter for a couple months now. Overall, it's very easy to use. It comes apart easily for cleaning and is easy to fill. It's the perfect size for one person (and 2 cats), though a little heavy.
The instructions said to dispose of the first filtrate, but even after doing so, the water still tasted very chemical-y. I rinsed through the filter a few times and ever since it's been fine.

I've been using LifeStraw products for some time. I currently have their 7 cup pitcher, in Lavender, on my countertop. I recently purchased some replacement filters to keep that pure-tasting water flowing for another year!
I really notice a difference between the LifeStraw filtered water and the chlorinated water that comes from my tap. I use the filtered water for drinking, coffee/tea, and for cooking. It tastes great!
