No hard lime growing in my filter. YOU CAN TASTE THE DIFFERENCE between a LifeStraw and Brita filter.

Good filtering, slow dispensing

The Lifestraw Home Filter does its job well of filtering the water quickly. I only have one issue with it and that is because the dispenser only puts out a trickle of water.

I love this dispenser! Looks very sleek and definitely better than my Brita. The only reason I give it 4 stars is because the dispenser takes so long just to fill a glass.

Good Filtration But Awkward To Use

We appreciate the filtration qualities of the unit, and the large refrigerator size, but, why is the dispenser so slow? It takes a good three or four minutes of standing in front of the refrigerator with the door open to fill up a large carafe with water. Is the water being filtered as it dispenses? It takes a long time to fill the unit with water, so I thought it was filtered as it was going into the container, and the already filtered water could be dispensed quickly.

Tastes great, drains sloooow

We were so glad to find a high quality water filter for my husband and I without breaking the bank. Our city water isn’t horrible but I have sensory challenges and cannot drink it without tasting “chemicals”. I love the peace of mind it provides as I also have germ phobias lol. The reason it only gets 3 starts is due to the misleading listing, I thought we were getting a glass pitcher, so I added on a bumper for the bottom. It’s a plastic pitcher though. The filter also drains so incredibly slow and we’ve had it a few weeks. There’s constantly water sitting in the filter housing until you completely empty the pitcher, not sure if that’s a defect if they’re all like this? I also don’t look forward to replacing the filter every 2 mos, our last PUR filter was every 3 months and much cheaper. But all in all we are so happy to have safe, clean tasting water on hand always.

The filter is perfect and even fit into a home dispenser for Brita that a friend had! You can definitely tell that the water is filter (in a good way) and I feel better drinking water filtered through this compared to other common filters (if you know you know). Overall 11/10 and I will buy for as long as they keep making filters.
