Dig the vibe but the filtering is slow.

After a few weeks of use the filter goes very slowly still. I dig the aesthetic and experience though.

Love the glass carafe but slow

We love the glass carafe as we are trying to eliminate plastics in our kitchen. The problems we encountered were; the filter is very slow, the pitcher is too small, and it is tricky to see reservoir fill level

Repeat Purchase

I have enjoyed my 1st glass pitcher received as a gift so much that I purchased the glass pitcher as a Christmas gift for my daughter. I enjoy the taste of the filtered water & am excited to be reducing our intake of microplastics.

Works OK

I live in a pre-war building with very old pipes, so cleansing my water is a tough task. I'm not sure how effective this pitcher is. I sense it's somewhat, not fully effective, I originally bought the large 35-cup capacity dispenser, and replaced it with the 18-cup. The dispensing spout on the 35-cup pitcher worked better, requiring less thumb pressure, than on the 18-cup. Also, when the water level drops below the halfway mark, the water flows out much more slowly. I need to press the dispensing button very hard, my thumb can barely fit and hold it down, and tilt the entire unit to try to extract water.

Good afternoon,
I'm a Public Health Environmental Scientist. I focus on reducing exposure pathways to per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). Currently, 20% of our exposure is estimated to come from contaminated drinking water. Your Lifestraw GLASS pitcher filter is the cheapest, efficient, and most affordable option I have seen on the market. I use this product for all of my water. I had one friend tell me once he started using this filter, his eczema went away. I have since sent one to a friend that runs a daycare and another that is on well water. I hope to get a full report after they have been using it for a month or so to see if their health issues have improved. Please, standby for another update on that front!
I use this filter for all of my drinking and cooking. I provide water for my pets with this filter as well. Only if I am out at a restaurant or a conference will I consume coffee with a different water source. I can usually feel the difference after I have done this. I have colitis and I aim to be very careful with my diet. I can honestly tell people this filter is the best option I have found thus far. Reverse Osmosis filters are efficient, but they produce 30% waste water. The Lifestraw produces a smaller amount of "wastewater" with the initial purge, but a much smaller percentage. Some (family members) have complained it takes too long, but this does not bother me, as I would rather schedule out time to wait for the water to filter than to take years off my life.
My ten year old cat, Mr. Fitzgerald, went into kidney failure in May 2025. I started using the Lifestraw filter immediately. Clean water helped to reduce the toxic load on his kidneys, and thus helped him recover. My vet was shocked he survived. He refused food for most of June. I had to use a syringe to administer wet food, water, and his 8 daily meds to him. I also gave him pre- and Post- biotic to also help reduce the toxic load on his body. He was down to 6. 3 lbs in June of 2025. As of December 21st, 2025, he is up to 9. 5 lbs!
I have been meaning to reach out to ask if we could discuss a partnership. If you could send me the best email to reach out to, I can do that this week from my work email. I would love to be able to provide these filters to low and middle income families that are not able to afford other mitigation systems, those that don't have the room in their living spaces, or those that do not qualify since they rent. I speak at community events often, and usually after I explain the debacle that is PFAS to people, they want to know a path forward. I believe this filter is part of that solution.
Although I have your plastic water filter for travel, I aim to not use it unless absolutely necessary. Microplastics are a concern of mine as well, so I encourage anyone that can use the glass filter, to use that option. I would love to see a larger, glass option for the vessel larger than the pitcher. I understand this might be heavy, but it would be a nice option to have. I would also like to discuss a take-back option for the used filters. I know this is not an easy task to accomplish, and thus far I do not know of any filter company doing this. However, it could help reduce PFAS and other toxins from being concentrated in landfills and our ecosystem. I'm still working on a solution to this side of the equation.
Thank you for reading all your reviews. I know that must be very time consuming! I appreciate what you and your team do and I am thankful your product is an option for those that don't have clean and safe drinking water. Hang in there, and please know you're making a monumental difference for families all over the world. You're improving health and saving lives. For that, I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Be well,
Amanda
