You can really taste the difference

I was a PUR water filter user for years and I wasn’t 100% satisfied with the taste not to mention that it doesn’t filter everything. I heard about Lifestraw and learning that it filters more including microplastics sold it for me. This makes my water taste so clean. I’m very happy with my purchase!

We love our home dispenser. Our tap water never has any off or bad taste, but the water filtered through this dispenser is even better. It tastes so clean and pure that obviously there are things in our tap water that probably aren't great.

Beautiful to the eye, but it dribbles water every time I pour. I have a larger version that is great but it is plastic. I prefer the glass.

Water tastes bad pretty quickly

So I purchased the whole setup at the end of May 2023 and didn’t set it up till the first days of June. The water started tasting bad in the beginning of August. I ordered more activated carbon filters and membrane microfilters on September 1st. I changed the ion exchange filter thinking maybe I got a defective filter since it didn’t last the two months that it was supposed to last and my water still came out tasting bad. I ended up replacing the membrane micro filter as well again thinking I got a defective one and that resolved the taste issue. About two weeks ago my water started tasting bad again and again I’ve had to replace both of the filters so that it could taste good again. There are only 3 people in my household my 3 year old and my 4 year old and they don’t drink a lot of water. I definitely do drink a lot of water but I don’t think it’s enough to run through these filters as fast as we’ve been going through them. I didn’t give it one star because I love the way the water tastes with new filters I just wish they lasted longer.
The membrane microfilter lasts 264 gallons (1 year). The activated carbon + ion exchange filter lasts 40 gallons (2 months).

I have had a LifeStraw Pitcher, a similar dispenser from the big name brand, and I just got the LifeStraw one about a month ago and it’s simply the best. If you’ve ever had a LifeStraw product before, you know the filters are a little slow at first (because they’re actually getting all of the gunk instead of most other water filters). This was hard for me with the LifeStraw Pitcher because the rate at which I would go through water, remember to refill it, and have the filter do its thing were incompatible. This dispenser is the best. It holds so much water. It’s the same size physically as my Big Name Brand dispenser but it has to hold like 2x as much water. It also holds a lot in the filtering compartment so you can let a good amount start filtering and then go do other things. It fits perfectly in my fridge, which is a feat as a city person. Overall, I just love this dispenser. I fill it up periodically over one day, and then I am set for a few more days and that just works perfectly for me. Love love love!

Originally, I bought one of the pitchers. But was constantly filling it and having to wait to use the water. When I saw that the large canisters were available, I bought it instantly. It filters faster (or so it seems) and I never run out of water. The improvement to the city's water is remarkable, making drinking water a lot more enjoyable!
