When you are filling it with water, the lid's design permits water to run into the spout unfiltered.

Great housewarming gift

I bought two of the home pitchers and gave one as a house warming gift. I live in New Orleans, where you shoulnt trust the tap. Both my friends and I agree: the water is next level delicious. The only thing I would say is that it drips slow, but that's more of a heads up than a complaint. Given everything the company does all over the world, my friends and I are so proud to be customers.

I love my new LifeStraw Pitcher. The water tastes so clean and fresh, plus the pitcher is pleasing to the eye. And I love that it is glass and not plastic.

I purchased a Lifestraw pitcher

I purchased a Lifestraw pitcher last summer and have since bought another pitcher and a dispenser as gifts for relatives. I am very pleased with the water quality from your filter system. My only complaint is that the first pitcher I bought has a slow leak at one of the seams, so I will need to replace it. I ordered a silicone base for the second pitcher in the hope that it would prevent is similar problem.

Love that it's glass

I ultimately love this water dispenser. It is very easy to use. It has a great flip cap making filling it up a breeze. I really like the sleek design and look as well as the silicone bottom. It fits nicely in my fridge and I really love that it's glass. Glass holds less bacteria than plastic and stainless steel and I can see the water through the glass which gives that visual peace of mind. I pretty much only drink water and for water drinkers we know not all water tastes the same. This water tastes great and is refreshing. I wish the water bottles came in a glass option.

Great tasting water!

I have nasty well water, and even with the 3 filters and water softener used in my whole house filter system , I still won't drink it, use the water in my coffee maker or to cook with. This pitcher filters out what my whole house system seems to miss. The water tastes great. My only complaint is how slow it is. I can drink the water way faster than it can filter.

i wanted to reduce plastic! This product delivers amazing water quality in my home serviced with well water. My home treatment is awesome but becuase I am in the Water Treatment business, I do not have any disenfectants and this product ensures that zero pathegens cross over. Also, we vacationed in the Bahamas serviced by cisterns and zero treatment. We took our Lifestraw and all 6 of us had plenty water to drink and hydrate with while fishing and diving in the very hot weather last July/August. Thank you Lifestraw!

The first filter did not

The first filter did not work - took over 24 hours for water to run thru and when end of the filter was under water, it stopped filtering totally. You sent a replacement which is still slow but does not take 24 hours. I am really not sure this is worth the cost esp. with replacing filters etc.
