I had been searching for a glass pitcher to replace our brita for a while, and finally found it! Yes, it takes a while for the water to filter, but we just make it a practice of filling it frequently. It’s attractive (in blue) and we love knowing that the PFAS are being removed. It’s about the height of a paper towel roll so can get heavy but it’s ergonomically designed to be easy to decant. Love it!

Good but SLOW

The water is definitely getting filtered but it takes FOREVER to filter. No point in having such a big water jug since i'm lucky if i get it 1/10 full.

The fill lid if it has unfiltered water in it will spill out if you are trying to pour while the reservoir is full.

Great product. Valid filtration. As the director of lab operations for a major pharmaceutical operation, I have some understanding of water quality. The filtration employed by this LifeStraw product will do what is advertised. Water tastes great and the size is perfect. Micro-plastics and bad water are here to stay unfortunately, so get one to protect yourself as much as you can.

Wish I could give a five star

I like how quickly this filters water. However, it's downfall is poor design. I bought my first one and it started leaking from the seam at the bottom. They immediately sent me a replacement(yay!). And while the new one doesnt leak, the seam is growing algae and i cannot get it clean. Ive had this for just 14 months and Id hope to have it for longer. Again, wish the design was better because it effects the overall quality of the product.

Boil Water

Our water is supplied by a rural system in Central Texas. We are experiencing a severe drought here, and as a result of changes in the land due to the heat and dry, our water supplier is having to repair many leaks, which means we have been having an unusually large number of boil water notices.
It is a great comfort to know that I can use my LifeStraw pitcher and have clean, safe water to drink!
