Lifestraw glass pitcher

I love my life straw adventure so since my other otc water purifier filter was hard to find an I saw lifestraw pitcher in glass I’d give it a try ! Well it’s great water but two issues one it’s to tall for my refrigerator ! An I have dbl door French door frige! So I leave on counter next issue it’s sure ling time for filter to drain into pitcher!
Other than this I’m hoping the pure water is as you stste PURE NO CHEMICSLS NO CONTSMINATES!
Would like to tske in rv camping traveling Accross usa but it’s so tall where to store it safe?

Sooooooo slow

The reason I bought this pitcher was to fill up my 64 oz water bottle in the mornings before work. The water tastes great but it takes at least an hour (if not longer) to even get 64oz of water. It is sooooo slow. I have tried to look up ways to make it faster but nothing seems to work. I would have not bought this if I knew how slow it was.

Better Tasting Water!

I originally bought the plastic pitcher and decided to up my game and by the glass one. I find your filters to be much better than other brands making the water taste better. I was a bit disappointed receiving my glass one to find the top plastic part was broken. Seems to still work fine so we will see how long it holds up. Really would recommend this product to anyone though.

Almost perfect

I really love this filter, it works great, it looks great. The water tastes really clean. My only complaint is that the filter housing sits so tight in the pitcher that it’s almost impossible for me to get it out once it’s inserted in the pitcher. Its going to be a struggle to change the carbon filter every two months.

I'm mixed on this. If you are willing to put in the effort of filling it frequently, do it.

I can feel the smoothness of the filtered water and I LOVE knowing how clean it is, but man, it's wildly impractical and they need a better overall design for home use that is still glass(... even though the filter is plastic, so I don't know how much plastic "comes back in to the water). 1.) It takes so long to filter a 2.) very small amount of water at each filling. 3.) It's large in order to accommodate holding an acceptable amount of water and 3.) there's no "back flow protection" for the water that's still being filtered in the middle when you're pouring it, which means UNfiltered water that's still in the center filter can go into your glass. If you care to continue: It takes ~25 minutes or so for it to fully filter through, and let's not forget how water equalizes and such, so after a while there's still UNfiltered water in the filter no matter what, and if you let the filtered water get so high while still having a certain amount of water in the filter, you're going to get UNfiltered water in your water when you pour from the pitcher. Due to all of these things, I kept the pitcher on the counter and kept my clean-water levels fairly low to avoid the UNfiltered water mucking things up; I'd pour the clean water into a separate, fully-glass container, which I kept in the fridge. But I found a fruit fly and also a film on my filtered water in the pitcher today, (and I am pouring one into the other ~3 times daily, so this is weird) so (after cleaning it) I'm putting it straight into the fridge and seeing how annoying it is to use that way. The fruit fly was a fluke, but a possibility, I now know and I'm hoping the film was a one-time fluke, too -- maybe someone stirred up dust nearby; I don't think the film was LifeStraw's doing... unless it happens again whilst in the fridge.

A leap for me…

I was hesitant to invest in yet another water purifier. I used Brita over twenty five years ago and it was sufficient then, but I didn’t want to return to using their product. So the task of researching another seemed daunting.
I checked with wirecutter I believe, and just started eliminating from their list. It was pretty quick actually, like maybe 20 minutes to set my sights on Lifestraw.
The membrane filter didn’t work out of the box so my excitement was delayed by about a week or so. I emailed the company after boxing everything up to ship back only for them to ask for the serial number and photo of the membrane filter. I was ultimately happy I didn’t need to ship anything. The new filter eventually arrived and it worked immediately.
Before I purchased I was most concerned about the weight of the filled glass pitcher as I couldn’t find the answer online. It’s manageable and usually use two hands as I keep it filled near to the top.

Easy to Use!

Great product, feels very sturdy and well-built. Water filtering is a little on the slower side but manageable and you just have to keep a good habit of refilling every time you pour out. The water tastes great and it's nice to know it is filtering out so much. The thing that really stands out to me with LifeStraw is the customer service - incredibly responsive and really willing to work with you to make sure you are satisfied with your product.
