Glad I made the switch

After many years of using a plastic water filter pitcher, I was really looking for a pitcher made of glass. Very glad I made the switch. I love the feel of the pitcher. Glad of the silicone bottom. I like the way the pitcher can be filled with one hand as the tap water moves the water entryway. It does not take long to filter (after the 1st 1-3 times). The filter removes the taste of the tap water. It has a small footprint on the refrigerator shelf. Very pleased with my purchase.

The water is good and

The water is good and I appreciate the idea of filtering out plastic. I got the glass pitcher to minimize contact with plastic, but the plastic filter sits in the water, so that’s disappointing and a bit ironic given that it filters out plastic. The design of the lid is poor. It often doesn’t open when water is poured in and it makes a mess. In my opinion the designers made this overly complicated. I literally take the lid off to fill it up. I am currently trying to figure out another container, possibly stainless steel that I can use to filter the water that will keep the filter above the water line. I would have preferred something more like a pour over coffee system that has the filter above the pitcher and is removed after it finishes draining. That would also solve the problem of the lid not turning to the open position if water isn’t poured in just right. This is too much work. I will probably go back to my old system if I can’t figure out my own way to use the filters.

Works well, looks beautiful, and I feel great about the water I’m drinking! Very happy to not be buying plastic gallon jugs of water from the grocery store every week.

don't waste your money

so, I went with the most expensive pitcher at the store, and now regret it. Just went to replace the filter: impossible. Literally impossible. Carbon piece would not come off no matter what I tried, finally resorted to trying to use a butter knife to see if I could pry it off, instead broke a nice chunk off the side of the pitcher (using gentle pressure; wasn't going to town on it). So, it was all a big waste of money. I'm going to buy a Brita I guess.

I very nice looking water pitcher, just wished the water can pass through the filter faster. But overall it is a nice design.

The filter housing was so difficult to remove the first time that I chipped and scratched it trying to get it off. And I am not one that normally has issues getting tight lids off. Also it filters incredibly slow, although they do say it gets faster with continued use.

Great protection & best price available.

Great product. Purchased to help protect our family from the effects of PFAs/PFOAs. This pitcher plus a year of filters was the most economical option I could find that still hit all the filtration aspects we wanted. The pitcher itself is beautiful too, which is a lovely bonus.

Love this brand

The best tasting filtered water ever. LifeStraw is truly the best brand. Our pitcher cracked at the bottom and the customer service people were SO kind and even threw in a free silicone base to prevent cracking in the future. I could not recommend LifeStraw more!
