What a difference!

After four years of buying water because my tap water tastes like infrastructure and contains PFAS, I decided to splurge on this pitcher. I have tried Pur and Brita filters in the past but they didn't do a darn thing to change the smell or taste of my water. I read many reviews from respected travellers on the benefit of the Lifestraw, so I thought this would be a safe purchase. Well I cannot believe the difference in the smell and taste of my tap water now. The strong smell of chlorine in the tap water. . . . gone! The metallic taste. . . . gone! And if it works this well on the substances I can smell and taste, I feel pretty good thinking that the known PFAS and micro plastics are probably also gone too. I highly recommend this product. I also got a straw to use when travelling but haven't tried it yet.
I opted for the glass pitcher to eliminate more plastic use and I wish the filter housing was not made of plastic. . . but overall I feel the cost was totally worth it. It is heavy when filled so be careful if young children will be using it.

Why has my water picture stopped working

Easy to fill. Clean-tasting water. A bit hard to separate long piece held by rubber in order to insert carbon filter.

LifeStraw 7-cup Glass Filter

My daughter and I decided to stop drinking plastic bottled water for health and environmental reasons. We decided to purchase the LifeStraw 7-cup glass filter because it had great ratings. I do taste a difference in it. (tap vs filtered). The only problem that I have is that it is too heavy for me to lift at my age. My daughter has to poor it for me.
