Buy the Silicone Base or You'll be Sorry!

This pitcher has a nice elegant design and is super easy to refill. And we love lifestraws mission. However, our plastic pitcher developed multiple cracks around the base within 3 months of use and water started leaking out - something that never happened with the Brita pitcher we had for the last 10 years. Lifestraw should include the base with the pitcher and raise their prices accordingly.

I honestly thought I was

I honestly thought I was buying a glass carafe. So disappointed when the plastic carafe arrived. BUT it does the same fantastic job. I drink lots more water since getting my Lifestraw carafe.

Want to love

Don't get me wrong, I love how well this pitcher filters. However the pitcher, itself, is extremely poorly made. I purchased one in November of 2021 and it started to crack at the bottom and leak water in less than two months. I worked with Lifestraw support and they, thankfully, replaced it because it was within two months of purchase. But of course, my new one started to crack at the three month mark. I have to keep the pitcher on a dishtowel, that I replace every couple of days, so it won't leak all over the refrigerator. I see now that they have a silicone base that you can purchase separately. I wished I would have known about that sooner so I could have bought it to protect the new one!

It makes tap water tasteless and odorless. I love it because there is less plastic waste than buying so many bottles and jugs of water every week. Love mine and am getting one as a gift for my sister.

Clean filtered water you can taste

Bought this. The water takes forever to go through filter. You can get about 6 ounces in 45 minutes. It is ridiculous.. don’t waste your money.

Plastic seams poorly designed

Very very short life span. I like this pitcher more than the brita but they bottom seam has cracked in multiple places with normal use. 3 months of use and the product is already going in the trash. I wish it had better manufacturing.
