Need more guidance on extending filter life with infrequent use

I use 2 pitchers 2 weeks a year at a vacation destination. This was my second year. I brought replacement carbon filters but was unprepared for the membrane filters to fail. Finally got them working with a mouthwash soak. I'll be bringing the 2 membrane and 2 carbon filters home for storage. I now know to store the membrane filters in salt water. With proper storage, I should be able to get 8 weeks of use (4 years) from the carbon filters. I'll try a hearing aid dryer to eliminate fungus growth but there may be a better approach.

I live on well water and have not really had any concern about the taste of my water, but I do worry that I may be ingesting things not so great for me. Until using the Life Straw filter pitcher, I didn’t even realize there was any taste to my well water. The water that comes from my new Life Straw pitcher is so pure tasting that the only way I’ve been able to describe it to my friends and family is “empty”. 🤣
The fact that the membrane filter last a year is amazing compared to any other filter pitcher, making it also more cost effective. 1000% would purchase again, have recommended friends and family purchase. Only gripe I have is that I wish there was a glass 10 cup available when I purchased.

Excellent upgrade from my brita dispenser. Researched a while for an option that filters out PFAS and microplastics before choosing this option and so far I love it! The water tastes so much better.

Old cabin well

I’m a new owner of a ‘rustic’ cabin in rural New and purchased my l Life Straw Home Kit in preparation for the unknown contents of its dug well. It has worked out fabulously. Feeling safe about my water (coffee!!) has lightened my load!

The LifeStraw 10 cup pitcher has been one of the best purchases I have ever made. The way it filters polluted water into clean water is very impressive. It has been a great investment allowing me to spend less on plastic water bottles as well. Overall, the LifeStraw 10 cup pitcher is very good product and one I recommend to any of my peers.
