The seventy 2

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, happy with the product. There are a few things that need improving. First, the elastic rings are too small to hold any of the included products. Some of the earlier versions did not have this problem. Next, the fire starter is poor quality and would be of limited value if needed to start a fire. The multi tool should be full size rather than the small one that is included with this kit. I will be making the changes myself to bring it up to speed.
I would recommend this to a friend!

multi-tool

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The organization and the weight are great. The multitool is rather useless. A good multi-tool is useful because it's supposed to be just that -- with a variety of tools sturdy enough to be helpful in a survival situation. This one fails big time. Not sure about the mask if it filters like an N95. Maybe I'll replace it. It could be life saving to have an S.O.S switch on the flashlight or radio light, or maybe I just missed it.

Almost, but...

I was super excited to get my bag today. However, on first opening the box I saw that the piece on the zipper pull (the section of rope to help you if you are wearing gloves) was missing. The the plastic toggle on the elastic band that holds the H2O bottle was missing. Going through the contents of the bag I saw that some items have changed:- The flashlight is bulkier, black, and certainly brighter, but not quite an EDC size.- The knife is not the one advertised. It is close, but not serrated and that is MAJOR for cutting paracord in the field. The sheath and paracord on the handle are black. If I am using this as a survival bags for emergencies, I want to be able to find things easily in low light situations. - The hat is not the one advertised. Included was a gray beanie. - The gloves are not the color advertised. Included were a black pair.- The goggles are not the same that were advertised. Included was a black pair with a clear lens that looked like snowmobiling goggles. - The multi-tool was not the one as advertised. Included was a larger tool that would be horrible in an emergency. Bad multi-tools can be very dangerous when they are cheap. Trying to pry out the saw or screwdriver could get you in minor trouble which is what you are trying to avoid in the first place. - the printing on the black backpack faces 2 directions, you have to flip it to read the right side.*None of this is major, but I certainly expect to receive what I purchase.

We’ve had the Seventy2 Survival systems for a couple of years now. As a turnkey system, it's a great jump-start to having what you need if you are in an emergency situation. The quality is overall good and many parts are excellent. It is way, way, way better than being caught with nothing. But, there is room for improvement, or actually, one of the problems is there is a lack of room for improvement. The system is not really expandable. For example, it would be a good idea to have one or more complete changes of clean, dry clothes in the bag. Take out the water bottle, and don’t roll the top down as far and you might get in one change, maybe. And, everything on the cards is packed tight in the pockets. There’s not much room for additions you might personally need. The card system is educational, gets you thinking in the right direction, and might be helpful in a stressful, survival situation. However, once you’ve got the idea of what you need, that card system also wastes a lot of space. There are gaps between the pockets. You could put a few things in those gaps, but then, really they would just be loose in the bag, not contained or organized with similar types of items. I’d rather see loosely filled pouches with velcro backs stuck to a board that could be rearranged and compressed, expanded, or removed as needed, especially a larger first aid kit.The grass may be greener on the Seventy2 Pro side of the fence. The bag is about 4L bigger, but it has gear for two and may be just as tight. The card pockets appear bigger, but still immovable. The Pro pack is available separately, That might help my space problem. The 24Seven pack is also an option. It seems designed as an everyday carry system, but just the pack would give me more expansion options than I really need.It wasn’t available when we got the Seventy2, but, today, we probably start with the Seventy2 Pro and make decisions for the rest of the family from there.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Excellent!! In 2017 Hurricane Maria destroyed 95% of my island home Dominica. Years later I created "to go" bags with survival tools in them. The Seventy2 survival system replaced these two bags with a lighter, more organized, durable model. I am prepared!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very pleased with this setup. I have ordered a premade go-bag in the past and it was cheaply made, both the bag and contents. Not so with the SEVENTY2. The contents are top quality and the organization sleeve is brilliant. Everything fits nicely and the bag is good quality as well. Short of putting together your own bag from scratch you cant do much better than this. I highly recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is amazing. When you are in a chaotic situation and go to that bag, everything is easy to find and smart. I am impressed with Uncharted so far.
