The kettle is everything I wanted exept being too large in size, toweing over its predecessor of the same capacity of 1.5L. It seems that the margin between the Max water mark and the top of the kettle is way too large. I assume that it was intended for safety, so hot water would not splatter over perhaps, but it makes the kettle way too tall. I think that the automatic shut off can happen sooner in the boiling process and reduce the active boiling time, particularly considering that many teas don't require fully boiling water temperatures.
I would recommend this to a friend!
