I got this knife for my dad to keep with him when he's fishing because the leather sheath protects both the sharpness of the blade from dulling and from cutting whoever is reaching into the tackle box. This is a great knife to fillet because it's super flexible and comfortable to use.

a must have for fishing trips

Its hard to find a quality true fillet knife these days. The German made forged German steel blade is very sharp and flexible. I can get in nice and close to bone and skin leaving little waste when prepping my fish. The handle material has a nice grip and gives me confidence when using it even with my hands damp from handling the fish. I like the holster so I can always keep track of it in the wilderness and have it by my side.

price. Haven't had it long so can't say anything to the longevity.
