I was looking for a new blender a few months ago and happening into a well known kitchen store. That day they had decided to put out 6 blenders from different manufacturers side by side filled with colored water so you could test all of the speeds and hear how the machine sounded.
The Zwilling sounded like a high performance sports car. Low and throaty not high and whiney like most of the other blenders.
The sound got my attention first but then going through the speeds and presets I really was able to get a feel for how great this power blender is. The presets cover most of what I need a blender to do and the speeds are true speeds with gradual increases from 1 on up.
I discovered it will make a hot soup if it's runs for 6-8 minutes.
I really like the fact that the blender will not start or run if the lid is not fully engaged. I don't want to admit how many times we have had a blow up in our kitchen due to poor lid management.
All and all I am super happy with the quality and performance of this blender and it's at a great price with a 5 Year warranty to boot!

Design flaw with handle - things get into handle and grow mold as you can’t clean inside the handle - hopefully I just got a bad one!

Super Powerful and Beautiful

This is my first "power" blender; I didn't know what I was missing. I've had many blenders in the past that couldn't make a good margarita, but this can accomplish that in seconds and so much more. It is so incredibly powerful that it pulverizes any fruit and vegetables in a matter of seconds. It has several presets that includes smoothies (I use that one daily), ice cream and frozen beverage. But one of my favorite foods to make is soup. There isn't a setting, I simply add a bunch of fresh vegetables, herbs (no need to chop them up, the amazing blade does that for you) and some juice and set to 10 for about 6 minutes. Piping hot soup; it's incredible!
The design is perfect for a modern kitchen; all the lights go off when it's turned off; all you see is the knob. It's pretty compact in that it fits under my kitchen cabinets; it's not bulky at all. The clean up is pretty sweet too; run water and a drop of soap on the clean setting and it's perfect in 45 seconds. The base wipes clean easily as well.

Works well

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The blender works very well on crushing most things and making smooth smoothies. But sometimes it misses and ice cube or two. And sometimes it doesn't always blend well small pieces, like chopped dates. Not too much of a big deal, but I would like that it would blend everything pretty quickly. And I wouldn't have to blend again and again to get a smooth consistency. But overall it takes on what we use it for which is fresh or frozen fruits, powders, milk, juices, etc. The only major complaint I have with the blender is the way to open it. If u push or pull with too much pressure on the tab that sticks out it can break. Thankfully the customer care team was very helpful in this regard and sent a replacement. Gonna have to find another way to open it without breaking the top.

Blender worked great for 5 months but then the plastic piece on the lid broke off probably because is too thin and long

I use this blender at all its settings and each one performed outstandingly. I made a frozen yogurt using the ice cream setting, made smoothies using frozen fruit and all the ingredients are pureed nicely, leaving no chunky pieces. Cleaning feature is awesome, and I thought the price was great as it does everything the higher priced blenders do.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The simple design pulled me in, the power made me buy it! I saw it being demoed at a kitchen store and loved the way it blended even the largest pieces into liquid and the sound was not as offensive as my old blender at home. Did not have to give it much thought to buy, once i saw what it could do! Started with daily smoothies and graduated to soups now. Wow! My old blender doesn't make hot soups; a huge step up in the blender world. Sold!
