I love this block set and that it comes with everything you could possibly need for cutlery. It has the steak knives, honing steel, and shears! Perfect for someone wanting a great German set to replace all or most of their knives.

Every knife you'll ever need

This is the ultimate knife block at a great price! I especially am impressed that this set includes a meat cleaver and boning knife since most sets do not include them. I love the fact that it comes with a set of 8 steak knives so I didn't have to look for them separately and that they are easily accessed. The handles on the "Four Star" line is so comfortable to use.

The most comprehensive set Zwilling makes, IMHO. Just because you get get both a meat cleaver and a boning knife. They go nicely with the set of 8 straight-edge steak knives. Basically, you have everything you need for day-to-day cooking - simple meals or complex, this set has you covered. And covered with knives that will last a lifetime. And if you do the math, this is an incredible value.
There’s a reason the Four Star line has been a part of Zwilling’s lineup forever. It was designed with professionals in mind, so the focus was on safety, comfort and durability. The ‘grippy’ polypropylene handle is proportionate to the blade and the work - therefore no excess weight. The blade steel and method of construction is proprietary and at the forefront of technology. The blade can both take a beating and hold an edge, ideal for daily use and hard work. These knives have all the features of world class knives, because they are - world class knives.
Although dishwasher safe, all knives perform and look better if they are hand washed. I’ve had a Four Star in my collection for decades. And it still looks almost new.

Has it All!

Wanted a set that has every knife I use in the kitchen, including the steak knives. Most of the larger sets are not the quality I was looking for. These Four Star knives are made in Germany and are made from Zwilling Special Formula Steel, which is so good, it is guaranteed for life. These Four Star knives have been around for almost forty years, so I know they are well designed, and will stand the test of time!

We love the self sharpening features in the block and the fact that these are dishwasher safe. It’s so hard to find quality knives that cut well while lasting. This knife set fits the bill!
