ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 8 is light, efficient and sleek-looking. All in all, it does everything one could ask for in a laptop. The product would be perfect except for the fact that the integrated camera didn't work out of the box. That was mildly disappointing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm happy with the notebook. It's super lightweight. It performs well. The one thing I'm disappointed with is that the USB-C cable coming out of the charger is hardwired. When the cable end inevitably bends or breaks, it means a whole new charger instead of a simple cable replacement. Seems like a silly (or calculated) oversight and I would've expected a better choice there.
