The new X1 has a nice soft matte finish, is durable, plently powerful for business use, comes with all the nifty security features, and the keyboard is just plain wonderful. This 8th gen model comes with all that you'd expect (thunderbolt 3/usb-c, 10th gen intel processor, backlit keyboard, etc) and some of the little extras you didn't expect like an integrated web cam cover. Works well with other tb3/usb-c accessories (works great with my dual monitor docking station). Totally worth it at this price point. If you are looking for a productivity laptop this is an excellent choice.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The x1 is an excellent work computer as it is a sleeker and more attractive version of the t400 series laptops. From time to time there can be some amount of overheating if you run the computer to the max, but nothing out of the ordinary.
