[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using laptop computers since 1987. The ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 8 is one of the best laptops I have ever owned/used. It had all the features I wanted plus it had the track point. I got quite use to track points back when most laptops had them.

No microSD card slot, trackpad buttons

Needs the following updates :
- Add micro SD card slot - no excuse for leaving this out
- should do away with trackpad buttons for a larger trackpad as gestures are actually better than buttons
- Case needs a different color to provide contrast between keys and case
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Otherwise, you're wasting your money. It's like buying a pepperoni pizza just to eat the pepperonis and throw everything else out. Just buy just the pepperonis.
