[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had Lenovo in the past and they really worked well for me. I tried another brand and had a much less pleasant experience so I'm back to my roots! This laptop is LIGHT but still feels sturdy and well built. It is fast and does everything I need. The 14 inch screen is a small step down from my last 15 inch, but I also have external monitors that I do most of my work on.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had the x1 Carbon Gen 8 with 4K screen, 8 GB ram and 256 GB storage for over a month now. I have to say I love it! There is no PWM flickering on my model despite seeing some concerns about it. The speakers are great, some of the best on a laptop I have heard. Of course, the keyboard is the best in the business. 8 GB is ram is perfect for school and writing papers, it is soldered on so get as much as you need for whatever tasks you plan on doing!
