[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this on Thanksgiving and it was shipped in my hands within a week. It is just what I needed in a small space and have plenty of power as I finish my masters degree.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Sleek, lightweight, powerful. Battery lasts forever with the right battery option selected. Beautiful display.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thin light and powerful work computer. Very impressed. Lenovo keyboard is unmatched and great as usual and came to be a benchmark I expect from lenovo and they deliver.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this laptop to mirror what I have at work so I can use the same docking station and screens. Works great - it's reliable and fast!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have nothing but good things to say about the hardware. The Ethernet and wireless connections are very fast, the CPU and NVME memory are excellent and the touchscreen is excellent and the fingerprint sensor actually works under Linux.
However, I chose the Fedora option and I wound up wiping it out. It was 2 releases old (the OS is updated every 6 months) and the choice of partitioning schemes was bad for me (LVM + xfs + multiple partitions) and too hard to work around or alter. XFS on a laptop is pointless. If you would like Linux installed, Ubuntu is probably a more sensible choice and I probably would have worked with that.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Work purchased 2 brand new identical systems. One for my daily work (email, meetings, video conferencing, etc.), the other for my research and development (R&D) work, for software development, virtual machines, Visual Studio, etc. From day one both systems would act up locking once or twice a day hard, forcing me to have to power them off (long button hold). The work system became rapidly worse and worse. Until finally it started making all kinds of beeping and jingle tones when powered on. They sent a technician to put in a new motherboard in my work system while I limped along on my R&D system. (tok about a week even though premium business support). But also the work one inexplicably shipped with bitlocker on, and nobody had the key (not our IT department or anyone else (I did not setup factory setup). So had to completely blow away at the key level and file another support ticket to get the restore image to download to USB on another system, then run the factory reset (took 12 hours to re-image!). Finally the following week (2 weeks dead system, and 6 weeks since I received the laptop new), system is running, and I'm reinstalling everything. Meanwhile, the R&D system keeps randomly dropping the wifi card (turns wifi on and off), and is starting to lock up hard 1-3 times per day. I have an important demo tomorrow where I have to run several VM's. It took me weeks to get everything setup on it, so I can't risk a replacement or wipe yet. After tomorrow's demo, I'll file a support ticket about the locking up for the R&D laptop, and we'll see what we find is wrong with that one. I have lost a LOT of productivity between these two new systems. A co-worker, who started the same week I did, and has another identical to my two, has been having similar lockup and other weird networking issues on his as well. When they run, they are decent, but so far not happy, and have lost a LOT of productivity.
