[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have had lower-end Lenovo, Acer, and Toshiba laptops in the past. Have a Dell Latitude work laptop. The ThinkPad X1 Gen 8 laps this competition. Paper-thin and light, it doesn't feel like it would have much performance. However, its performance (with i7 10510U, 16GB RAM) comes close to my i7 9700K, 32GB RAM PC. Love the TrackPoint in combination with mouse buttons for quick scrolling. Touchpad gesture recognition works well for scrolling or task switching. Enclosure feels very solid despite light weight. No significant flaws.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great Work Laptop! This little guy has some speeeeeed to it, has a great keyboard and is to be honest, dead sexy. I really like it. Only complaint is the plain flat black shows finger smudges pretty quickly. It’s a minor gripe, but be aware. If you use it without a keyboard routinely it’ll end up looking like you store a grilled cheese on it...
