[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm running Windows and Linux on it and it runs smoothly. The only thing I would change is the position of the Ctrl key.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my second X1 Carbon (Core i7, vPro 16G ram, just like the old one) and it replaced a 5 year old one which I love, but the battery life is fading. In addition the old one preceded release of Windows 10 and for some reason has always retained something from the old operating system which makes some Windows 10 features unreliable. So it was time for a new one. This one runs great and the battery life is back to excellent. It seems a lot flimsier than my old one though, from the feel of the case to the touchpad function, to that tiny USB charging point, which already wobbles. Although I still like this model for its speed and portability, I am wondering whether it will hold up as well as my last one.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Completely happy with my X1 Carbon Gen 8. Keyboard continues to be the best, battery has very long life, great variety of ports, thin and light. Would purchase again.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The laptop is exactly what I needed! It is super light and has a great battery power. I have always used HP product, but I am a Lenovo convert now.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great laptop. I own two small businesses and this laptop is ideal for what I need to do. Super light and also super fast! I have had some light, thin laptops in the past but this one is definitely more rugged. It doesn't feel like you are going to break it just by typing on it. Very easy setup and the typing is GREAT. Very comfortable and super quick start up. Plus, the fingerprint reader has worked every time I have used it so far! No swiping you just place your index finger on the tiny scanner. I did a lot of research before purchasing and it came down to the X1 Carbon or the Dell XPS 13. I definitely made the right choice with Lenovo!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This computer replaces my First Generation X1 Carbon (4GB/128GB) and I was surprised that its lighter than that model. At 16GB/512GB, it's sleek, fast and nimble, but my first X1 Carbon still works great. I just needed more RAM for complex tasks. I hope it's as durable as my first X1 Carbon, where the case and the keys still look and feel new. Be a patriot and wear a mask!
