[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This laptop has been everything I have been looking for. I can tell it's super high quality. Very light, sturdy, and slim at the same time. My one gripe is it isn't able to handle much gaming (although that's not at all what it was advertised for and I wasn't expecting that going in).
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The product itself seems quite good, and I expect to like it a lot. But the ordering process was a challenge; I had to go through the site 7 or 8 times to be sure I was ordering what I wanted . And trying to install Office 2019 on the laptop (prepurchased with the computer) was awful. It required me to do things I did not want to do and did not want to do in the order required, so I was unable to set up the PC just as I wanted. There were several versions of the directions on installation, which either were not available (send you to a page with instructions to do something that was not an option on the page) or left out steps in the process, so you were not sure if you were dong it properly or not. I was installing Office 2019 Home and Business, and it repeatedly wanted me to sign up for Office 365 in order to access to MY purchased software, and I did NOT wan on the machine at all. The process also required you to access instructions via MS Outlook which it had not yet installed on the machine, since that is part of the Office 2019 I was trying to install. Oh, and I got the email telling me how to install my Office software 5 DAYS AFTER I received my computer. Huh? And the main part of these 5-day-late installation instructions were to NOT hit the OFFICE button on the computer menu until the software was installed, as this might prevent proper installation. Well, who is going to buy a computer for a business/office machine and NOT have tried to install the program (absent any other directions) in the first 5 days by hitting the OFFICE button on the menu? Not that it should matter, since any competent adult should be able to purchase and set up a new computer without a lot of trouble, but I has BS and MS degrees in electrical engineering and have been practicing computer and communications systems engineering for 40 years; I'm really not that unfamiliar with the process! Again, I love Lenovo PCs..... I've owned them and used them since they were IBM Thinkpads, not Lenovo, but the installation, which used to be simple and straightforward, now seems much too complicated now.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have only had the X1 for a week now and I am happy with the performance so far. Only complaint I have and it my be my shortcoming but I am disappointed that the screen is not a multi-point touch screen. I assumed an updated technology in late 2020 would have the touch screen included.
