Overall, this is an awesome laptop - great processor, plenty of memory (I have a 16 GB version), and a bright, matte anti-glare touchscreen. About the only knock I have against it is Lenovo’s privacy guard. If you run the screen at full brightness, it’s not effective and at 50% (the sweet-spot for my office), it feels like it is impossible to turn the privacy filter completely off. Anything other than the center of the screen sees an immediate and noticeable drop off in brightness and color intensity - both vertically and horizontally- almost like someone has a vignette filter applied to the screen. Ultimately I had to replace it with a non-privacy guard display X8. I’ll review that after I see how the battery life is impacted by the 4K display.
