Hasn't worked properly from day one. Constant dropouts for wifi,sound, and touchscreen. Replaced motherboard, speakers & wifi attena under warranty. Still have dropouts on wifi.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 8 (14”) Laptop a few weeks ago. Everything works great except for the built-in camera. When I am participating in online meetings via Zoom, Ring Central, WebEx, etc., the video lags significantly behind the sound. This is a very frustrating problem because I spent a large portion of my work week participating in online meetings. I hope Lenovo will resolve this issue with a software or firmware update.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My main "work at home" computer. Great keyboard, great battery life, light. at 2&1/2 pounds. Plenty fast. My only dislike is the placement of the power switch, on the side...I have to keep on hunting for it, as I'm used to having it on the top.

I wanted a durable, quiet laptop with a great keyboard and it fits the bill. The finger print scanner is a nice, cool tough and makes me feel more secure about sensitive info. So far the battery life has been killer, especially compared to me last laptop, and it's the lightest laptop I've ever owned (and I've had like 6).

This model does not have touch screen. It is not a deal breaker, but it is a feature that she says she will miss.
