[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pros: Very responsive, no lag. Nice keyboard and mouse feel. Very lightweight and thin.
Cons: Unimpressive battery life (but not terrible). Control and Fn keys are switched, takes getting used to when copy/paste often. Small thin power button on the side.
All minor and personal aesthetic dislikes or differences. The performance has so far been good. I had one initial freeze that required a hard reset that only worked when plugged into power source. I’ve only had MacBooks or Dell laptops and PCs in the past, and always had issues with slow performance with Dell. Lenovo is great choice if you prefer Microsoft OS
My Lenovo X1 Carbon has amazed me from day one; If I had three words to describe it, they would be: elegant, efficient and professional. First, the internal and external details of the machine are exquisite, the black assembly makes this laptop a very elegant product for any occasion. Second, it is efficient, I can only say that with the core i7 this laptop flies. Finally, he is a professional, everything that I have opened has been run perfectly. If you are thinking of buying a professional laptop, don't hesitate; the X1 Carbon is for you.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A great price for a great computer. I was looking for a home computer that I could use for my work, blogging, programming, and other projects at home. It had to be fast and something that I could take with me when I moved around. The ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 8 (14") Laptop has a quick startup and I do not notice the processing slowing when I have several documents and sites open. It is light, similar to a small notebook, and a great battery life. I strongly recommend this computer for those that need a versatile computer.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] very fast but has been somewhat unstable. Had to hard restart several times as it has locked up. Went back to the site to buy another one week later and price was up nearly $1000. Not going to buy at that price.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my third Lenovo and I love their machines as a CEO I find it helps it is strudy and releaible
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fantastic Laptop, this is my third X1 Carbon, so I am kind of a fanboy. the design is great, small footprint, more than enough processing power to do everything I do. Only disappointment, I was looking forward to the new security features (Privacy guard feature) and assumed that this feature is included in the most expensive top of the line machine with the 14.0" UHD (3840 x 2160) Display, unfortunate it is not.
