[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First one I received had a bad screen, so I returned it. The second one needed a new motherboard 2 weeks after I received it. Not happy with the quality control so far.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

High performance, but limited battery for gaming

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 8 laptop has met all of my expectations. I primarily use the computer for basic office tasks (word processing, email, etc.), but I've also played some games (like The Sims) with success. The battery life is great if you're not running those high-usage programs (like video games), but only has about 3-4 hours of battery life with games running. This is not enough of a deterrence for me to drop a star, because the device does so well overall.
I would recommend this to a friend!
