It was also nearly 4x the price of any laptop I've ever owned, but so far it seems to be well worth the price. It is lightening fast, the keyboard makes typing fun, and I actually look forward to using my computer just because it is so nice. Also, zero bloatware which plagues some of the less expensive options.
