[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought a new ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen8, Intel Core i5-10210U (1.60GHz, 6MB), 14.0 1920 x 1080 Non-Touch, Windows 10 Pro 64, 16.0GB, 1x512GB SSD that replaces and older 14" X1 Carbon that still runs but has a wonky sound card. High points are similar between the two: light weight and excellent keyboard feel with illumination. I use this for travel and those are important qualitites for me. It has an adequate number of ports and runs reasonably cool. Battery life isn't stupendous, but I ususally fall asleep on long flights before the battery dies (if no power available). My old Carbon had some keyboard oddities that took getting used to, such as double-tapping the Shift key to lock caps. The new keyboard layout is a little more conventional, but the Fn key is adjacent to the Ctrl key and I often hit is unintentionally when trying a control function. Overall, the X1 Carbon remains an excellent choice for travel laptops and, in my experience, Lenovo laptops have been much more reliable than the Dell laptops that I've owned.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've wanted to switch to a Lenovo laptop for a while and I finally bit the bullet and oh my goodness I am so happy! Beautiful and timeless design, the best keyboard on the market and great battery life. What's not to love here?
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Excellent computer! Fast and easy to use. Very powerful! Keyboard is comfortable and size is perfect
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great lightweight computer. My 4th Lenovo laptop and I don't expect to buy any other brand.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have only had this laptop a short while, but it has performed well and quickly. It would have been nice to have had a touch screen, but I am getting used to the absence of that feature. It is a powerful enough laptop for my home use, and quick to open and respond.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my 3rd X1 Carbon - had a 3rd and 5th generation previously. Once I got through all of the config glitches (e.g., have to unplug the Thunderbolt 3 dock before installing audio drivers to get the internal mic to work AND had to call Lenovo Premium support to get this figured out), the machine works great. Love the new 4K display. My one problem with the new layout is the location of the power button - it is on the right side of the laptop just forward of the USB port, which is inconvenient for access - hard to find button when it is on my stand and plugged into dock and it is not easy to see to determine if the system is on or off.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] a great laptop with high specifications for a reasonable price. Keyboard is great. It's super lightweight and a perfect machine for business purposes.
