[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The thinkpad is light and thin, robust, reliable. It is everything I've ever wanted from a single laptop. Unlike macbooks, it has great selection of ports which makes life that much easier.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This computer exceeded expectations. Overall, the computer has a great, ergonomic design, with excellent features. The fingerprint scanner is useful for quick logins, and I can even use it to sign in to some websites. The touch screen is responsive and sensitive, making it good for design due to the variety of finger gestures that it accepts.
The included RAM makes the computer very fast, though I do wish it had 1 TB of storage space instead of 512 GB. The keyboard is very nice, and the privacy screen functionality is a cool feature, although I wish the base (max) brightness of the laptop was a bit more luminous.
Overall quite satisfied with this purchase; very good computer at a reasonable price.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far so good. I like it's sleek design. It's very light weight, that I love. I just wish it was a tiny bit bigger, and I also really don't like that the power button is almost embedded too deeply into the panel. I always have to continually feel for the button, or lift the ThinkPad to access the power button. Other than that I love it, it's loud and very fast and the keyboard is the best I've every typed on, love it!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the 4rth Carbon X1 I have no more to say, Its just simply the best business laptop there is.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm now completely hooked on the X1 Carbon's. I have the Gen 6, and just bought this Gen 8 for an employee. I was a bit nervous because my Gen 6 gets hotter than I would like, to the point I ended up purchasing a laptop fan for under it. After reading that the new Gen X1's have improved the issue with heat I decided to give it a try. I've not seen a faster laptop out there, and the heat issue has been resolved. I bought my Gen 6 about a year ago and it runs just as fast as the day I bought it. I was so used to having to wipe my computer after a year or so just to get it back to a reasonable speed, but it never quite got back to the way it was out of the box. I will never buy another model laptop for work again. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is I wish there were options for a bit larger screen. But I guess that's a sacrifice you have to make to have one of the lightest laptops in existence.
