OK, but still too loud and dribbles oil

I got the E6430SS to replace the stock microwave/hood combo that came with my condo. Bottom line, it is superior to a microwave/hood combo that came with my condo. It does work at venting out smoke and cooking smells efficiently. That said, there are two annoyances I have with it, which makes me want to replace this unit even though it's only 3 years old:
- Oil routinely dribbles out of the grease tray onto my range, or down the side of my cabinets. There's constantly droplets of oil hanging off the bottom of the hood that I have to wipe off with paper towels each week.
- It's loud, loud, loud, even at the lowest speed. At least it's loud and effective at venting, unlike a microwave hood combo, but I feel like other manufacturers are able to strike a better balance. The newer GE Profile / Cafe series 600cfm hoods are much quieter at normal speeds and seem to work just as well at venting, based on one I used at my brother's place (his is model #UVW93042PSS). With that one, at the lowest speed it's basically whisper quiet and you can carry on a conversation, unlike this Broan.

Best product that I ever bought

Bought a new home. Took out the over the range microwave with range fan and replace it with the Broan range hood. This is the second home that I put one of these into. Will do it again.

It looks great, and works. Improvements would be to send the suction cup needed to install the lights with the box. If I hadn't read the comments before purchase I would not have known to call Broan after installation to have them send said tool. Also the fan noise is a bit loud on high, but we only need the lowest setting so it works. We kept the suction cup, because we have other lights it works with, great benefit,;-)

I love this hood, It is beautiful and the halogen lites are great. I also like the quiet motor and tiny lite to let me know that it is on. Adjustment speeds are very good also. Lites have a dimmer.
I haven't had to clean the vents yet. Looks like it will be more effort than my old 1992 GE hood screens. Will have to read the manual.

Love the hood!

I love my range hood. It looks amazing with my stainless fridge and dishwasher and it compliments my Wolff Range perfectly. You can barely hear the fan when it is running, the heat goes right up so cool cooking is a breeze, and the lights are bright.

In planning remodel project for our new kitchen , we were looking for an exhaust fan unit that not only complimented our other new appliances but also was very functional. The operating superiority of this fans is unmatched. The unit also has excellent lighting , is quiet, and easily operated. Maintenance is as simple as we have ever experienced ,with easily removable comments.

Excellent product when combined with proper exterior blower. One issue I have had is the light sockets are not well constructed. Replacing the lamps often results in the sockets coming out of their mounts. This requires removing the entire control panel to repair.

This has been our most satisfying purchase for the kitchen.
A great finish makes it look elegant; it cleans the air out with minimal noise, and most fun of all, is the ease of cleaning this equipment.
Have it for three years now, and still as good as new.
