Excellent design, not flawed

a lot of users have described good design choices as flaws. yes, the s-pen holder on the back is exposed, but adding a flap would have added to the weight of the case and detracted from its streamlined look. you can store the pen on the inside of the cover while traveling and it's absolutely secure there. you only need to keep the pen on the back to pair/charge it and that only takes 40 seconds. my concern was that the tablet was only held in place by a magnet, but that magnet is pretty strong so it feels secure. this case is attractive, convenient, lightweight, but also secure. that sounds like a good design to me.
I would recommend this to a friend!

despite the complaints about the s pen storage location being wrong & bad design there are actually two storage places for the pen. one inside, there a recess at the binding edge below the tablet that will hold your pen securely when closed and one on the back opening that charges the pen, the pen will also magnetically cling to either of the screen angle strips.
this cover is a lightweight design that gives screen protection and some edge protection and tablet is easily removed when needed and i find it meets my needs.

Nice cover that exposes flaw in design

the cover itself is slim and sturdy. it stands up firmly with the magnetic cover. the problem is it has no cover for the pen. i would like to see a magnetic cover for the pen that would keep it from falling off at every opportunity. including when you open the cover and when you stand up the tablet with the cover.

Severe Design Flaw

i was ready to buy the tab s7+ until the design for the book cover was revealed. it has a major flaw where the s pen is supposed to be stored inside the book cover instead of on the back of the tablet like it is on the keyboard cover. in place of the flap that would cover and protect the s pen is just an open space where the pen would connect to the tablet.
why would this be thought of as a good design? the s pen needs to be connected to the back of the tablet in order to charge, and if you leave it there with the book cover, you run the risk of losing the s pen because there is no flap keeping it protected. why not just keep the same design as the book cover form the tab s6, but just make it for the tab s7 and s7+?

Christmas Day Disaster

I purchased this cover for my wife's new s7+ tablet, her Christmas present. However, the cover magnet was not strong enough to hold the tablet when I tilted it slightly while using the camera. The 1 month old s7+ slid off of the cover and hit the floor breaking the display. The magnet did not hold the tablet securely.

Awful Design! ...Stay Away!

This year (0202) the powers that be decided to leave a big hole that used to cover the pen on last year's design. now, it is wide open for it to easily fall off and get lost at any moment. it was much better when the cover actually protected the pen from getting lost. i returned the cover, because it is a foolish and dumb design that will only cause heartache, pain, and financial loss. i will buy a better smarter design from a different manufacturer who protects the pen from getting lost. what is also crazy is that they applied/kept the pen cover on the keyboard/cover, but not on the regular cover without the keyboard. dumb! dumb! dumb!

Outstanding Design - with S-Pen Storage

i really like the thin design of the s7 tab ultra. the cover needed to maintain that accent and it does completely compliment the design. by keeping the book cover thin and building in a safe spot to store the s pen in the binder was brilliant move to secure it. very nice! 5 *****'s

Lacks a good place to store the S Pen

this design is more about being sleek than functional, and it does sleek quite well: the galaxy tab s7+ book cover feels like it adds nothing to the form factor of the tablet itself. in concept, it also has three convenient storage locations for the s-pen: a dedicated magnet in the 'spine' of the book cover, the edge of the tablet, and the back of the tablet (which doubles as the charging location).
unfortunately, the only place i want to store my tablet is on the charging slot. and if you use that location, the pen can easily fall off because the magnets aren't strong enough to guarnatee a strong hold, and the slim form factor of this book cover lacks protection from minor knocks or rubs in a bag.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
