Placed vent opening in exact center of bracket. Unit is off center on vent so it didn't line up.
Not a problem on taller ceiling, but a huge issue on seven foot ceiling.

Not too noisy, works well, and looks nice. I vented it to the wall to the left of the range (where there was a hole from the exhaust fan that was there), so I had to use three 90-degree elbows and about 100 inches total of duct. It still works fine. So nice to have after 26 years in this house without one. No more sticky kitchen. And with the good lighting, now I can really see what I'm doing. Oh, and the service was excellent: I think I received it in 2 days.
